What a disappointing thread. On the one hand we all celebrated when he conquered Hyderabad. Pakistan’s minister for family affairs gave receptions in his honour. I believe he was nominated for tamgha e imtiaz. There were congratulation threads here, and mithai boxes were DHLed across countries to members (go back and read the forum back then) for free by senior forum members. Some people suggested we rename the Ghauri missile. And now, just because its old news, we have no loyalty to him anymore. Nobody seems to think that the fact that he married Sania Mirza should get him some benefit of the doubt.. instead its all about cricket for you guys.

Well jokes and his attitude apart, Shoaib Malik is not indispensable by any means. He was never more than an average player and does not deserve to be picked based on his recent form & performance. It should not be a surprise that he is not in the team.

i asked why he is not in the team and everyone started telling why he should not be in the team which i don't mind as its their opinion but sahi jawab koi nahi de raha tha. but i now i know the reason :)

Interesting that this guy has just disappeared! Hes not even playing domestic or county/league cricket anymore!

He was never a great player but he was a useful ODI T-20 batsman to have…but i guess he’s busy carrying Sania’s bags and dancing with Shahrukh Khan…

Think its time for Malik to be recalled and placed in charge of the ODI an T20 team. He was removed by the bufoon Ijaz Butt just when he and Lawson began making our team respectable, and he was a victim of Younis Khan and Mohammad Yousuf's hunger for Captaincy....

Now with Afridi out as well....he needs to be recalled. He's a good choice to skipper the team - in ODI and T20 games...

Hopefully, Butt will be sacked as well...which will finally end the worse PCB regime in the history of the country
