I was watching guest house this weekend on youtube. What a brilliant tv show!! every episode is sheer entertainment and I love the chemistry between all the characters. I think my fav is sarwat ateeq (Mrs Shamim) and her hubby (Mr Shamim). I haven’t seen or heard about sarwat atteeq in years. Does anyone know where she is these days? would love to see her back on the screen.

Sarwat Ateeq is a legend and her acting career dates back to the good ol days of PTV. Last I saw her was in that comedy serial... uff can't remember the name but it had all these actresses.... Saba Hameed, Veena Malik, etc.

I think you are talking about 'Missfit', but I don't remember watching her after 'Guest House'.

sarwat was one of the best actresses. she played her role in guest house soooo well..khaas tor per jab koi ghalti karti thi ya koi nuqsaan ki baat shamim ko batani hoti thi...totally loved it....guest house on the whole was great specially bushra ansari's epi was sooooo funnny.
sarwat was also very excellent in single drama "fehmida ki kahani ustani rahat ki zabani" as the nazuk chooyi mooyi type bahoo.
she was also in mirza and sons (a single play) but woh drama zara bhool gaya hai mujhe but i know us main bhi sarwat ki umda adakaari rahi hogi.

I have a damn good memory and if I remember correctly, Sarwat's first play was Ya Naseeb Clinic where she played a nurse.

ya naseeb was written by amjad islam amjad, story and direction was by kanwar aftab ahmed.
the cast apart from sarwat also included firdous jamal, hamid rana, aurengzaib laghari and salim nasir.

Yes Missfit.
Now that you mentioned the name I realized I was thinking of Shaista Jabeen who played a role in Missfit and confused her with Sarwat Ateeq.
Upon googling I found Sarwat Ateeq’s most recent work was in drama Thorri si wafa chahea. Now for the life of me I can’t remember her being in that play.

She wasn’t in that geo tv drama ‘thodi si wafa chahiye’ directed by: Yasir Nawaz.
