The sole problem with the Pakistani Media is that they show only a very specific and certain stratum of the society which, i think, must be 1% of the population. An example of which is aforementioned. I mean, come on, the media is supposed to be for masses, it is supposed to represent the majority of the population but everything is just the opposite in Pk.
Well.. the majority definitely doesn't wear stuff like this...but if you're part of the "crowd" then you do go to private/house parties or sum functions where you can wear sumthing like this...
Anything that you see in N. America or Europe..can be and is worn in Pakistan...it's just not very open...
Do you seriously believe that the media in the West bothers about the masses? Here in Britain, the media is obsessed with celebrities, top-earning footballers, showbiz people etc. Just pick up any tabloid, literally every page is filled with pure gossip and s**. It does n't enlighten you in anyway. I mean who really wants to know who is doing what, where, who's sleeping with whom and why? That's why I usu. stick to the broad sheets.
well, ya we dont see girls in such cloths in comman places, but when you are talking about high society parties n stuff, they probably they do wear them...
but then its the same here in west and Nort America. pick any fashion show, 90% of the cloths are just for display, and we dont see them in general worn by common people, or even celebs.
Atleast this girl is pretty and even though she’s wearing a western dress she still looks decent. She’s bound to turn heads and raise eye-brows if she goes out in the streets dressed like that because she’s portraying a certain image.
Now compare this with the cheap, vulgar and non-sensical dance routines in lollywood films which only the lower strata of our society i.e. the masses watch as that is unfortunately their sole entertainment. I find the latter more vulgar and immoral
At the end of The News’ weekly magazine ‘MAG’, you’ll find a section where they show private parties held by the elite and the media ppl… thats where you see these kinda dresses…
I don't think most women walk around the streets in Pakistan dressed like this. Obviously this is formalwear for special events. It is actually decent in comparison to some outfits you see in fashion mags and runway shows. Keep in mind, these magazines and shows are meant to push buttons and stretch our imaginations. They aren't usually meant for dailywear. Rather, they are meant to inspire and excite.
no, i didn't say anything like the girl is indecent or wearing a raunchy dress... the dressses are not too showy or sleazy.. but what i wondered about was do pakistani girls REALLY wear this....and i got my answer...which is YES, THEY DO. I lived a part of my life in D.H.A when i was in karachi..and yes, i HAVE seen girls wearing sleeveless shirts and all that... but personally, I was never allowed to wear such clothings..and, no, my family isn't ORTHODOX type but we jus' don't wear this kindda dresses either in Pakistan or in North America....I would rather wear something that is trendy and fashionable yet it covers the body decently.
to all the high class tea/dinner parties.......mayb 2% of the people in pak dress like this....you would never see em on streets looking like this...its only an indoor thing...but oh well its their life....who are we to judge
yes ture say, pakistani girls do wear stuff like that in pakistan nowdays i mean you only have to watch certain programmes on ary and stuff to get an idea, your getting girs in pak wearing more indecent outfits then you would get in london. i mean there is no harm in wearing like sleveless tiops and maybe even semi lonf skirts but within resson though........
and its not even about being a orthodox family or not its just looking presentable.......
