Re: Where in Pakistan are you from?

**Where in Pakistan are you or your family originally from? **

Both parents were born in Lahore.

**A. What is the city
**
Lahore.

*B. what is the main food popular in your city
**
The ever so famous Lahori Nashta -
halwa puri, paye kulchai, naan channey, lassi, paratha. *Lahori fried fish would be another very famous local dish.

**C. What is one thing your city has which is unique to it?
**
Kuriyan Lahore diyaan. Enough said.

Lahore is really known for epitomising the architectural glory of the Mughal Era. Buildings like Badshahi Mosque, Lahore Fort, Tomb of Jahangir, Shalimar Gardens, Gates of inner city, Chaburji monument highlight the passion, beauty, imperial grandeur, craftsmanship and artisan culture of Mughal period. Apart of it’s architectural finesse, Lahore is known as the city of food lovers, and the city probably has the biggest and the busiest food industry. The locals are aptly honoured as zinda dilan e Lahore and that too is probably linked with their spirited love for food, eating, living and entertaining.

But other than that, Lahore is the City where Pakistan was symbolically born (Lahore Resolution 23rd March, 1940) and we have a very interesting looking Minar e Pakistan to mark that, and Lahore is the also City where the spiritual father of Pakistan and the Poet of Pakistan - Ilama Iqbal is resting. The mausoleum of Iqbal is also one the many fine examples of traditional and very Easternised Lahore architecture and popular tourist attraction.

But as far as I am concerned, Lahore has the best street style in Pakistan, it’s a very fashionable city. You can tell a Lahori woman the way she dresses.

**D. What is the most popular mode of transport ( car, train, bus, rickshaw)
**
All of the above I suppose, but we also have Metro buses now.

**E. What is main tourist attraction?
**
Pretty much all the buildings mentioned in point C. I’d add Mall Road, Atchison College, Lahore Museum, Food Street, Gulberg (MM Alam Road), Wagah Border etc. The list is endless really.

Re: Where in Pakistan are you from?

Yeah there’s not much to do there but the view of Islamabad is priceless and a good place for a family/friends outing. Try druving up to Pir Sohawa on a rainy day its serene  the city looks like it had a good scrub lol and Daman-e-koh has a few restaurants too and they light up the place at night, looks soo romantic.

Re: Where in Pakistan are you from?
