Where in Pakistan are you from?

Re: Where in Pakistan are you from?

Ok let me give some glimpses of history from the area I belong.

Its the area where Usman Marwandi (RA) came around thousand years back and became Laalan Sohna and Qalandar Shahbaz equally revered by Hindus and Muslims.

When you move towards north, there used to be Asia largest natural lake, which now became a ganda naala because of industrial wastage from upside the country.

If you move a little to north, you will find 18th century capital of Sindh, which is now just a village with a historical mosque.

Moving further to north, you will reach district headquarter and my hometown, which was called Pakistan’s Vietnam during black era of Zia becuase of agitation shown by the people of the area.

Moving further to north, There is tomb of Makhdoom Bilawal (Bilawal Bhutto’s name is inspired from his name). He was the sufi who lead a farmer movement during Arghoon era and was martyred by charging of blasphemy.

Nearby are the hills and mountain area of Kirthar range, which contain ancient caves from pre-historical period. This range also have a hill station (the only place in Sindh, where snow falls). If this place (Gorakh) is developed, it can be an alternative to places like Murree in Sindh. The area is rich with minerals and many multinational oil exploration companies have offices there, but the locals are poor.

The place where Mughal emperor married Hamida Banu begum (Akbar’s mother) is also falls in this district.
