Dp you will realise if you take a quick survey of men on GS that the assumption that we want girls from back home is pretty much a lie. Plus trust me Medic may want a girl from Pakistan, but she would have to have lived abroad a number of years, studied abroad and travelled a great deal. He does not want a 100% paki wife. He wants a woman who will understand his BBCD ( :p ) mentality while being resident in Pakiland.

Good for you dp.. personally i believe there is no sense marrying some one from ‘back home’ .. i mean common.. they r still human.. and every one has flaws.. even if they r believed to b in ‘saat parday’ or out in the open… cultural values and relationships develop from their own up bringing… anyway.. this debate can drag on forever … in short all i can say i m with you.. n you dont hav to marry some one from Pakistan if you dont want to… cheers

DP, I disagree. You are giving a very negative twist to it. There are other reasons why us "Desi" guys go to Pakistan to get married. It really doesn't matter to us whether a girl is canadian, american, chinese born desi . We do acknowledge the cultured,liberal, badtameez, shareef, etc etc types of larkia are everywhere.
The fact is there aren't shortage of girls in Pakistan. In my case for instance, no matter what my credentials are, I will be in for a long wait if I chose to find a girl here in states. It's easier and quicker to be hitched with a right type of girl in Pakistan. You have a strong network of relatives ..friends..muhallay wallays ..So my point is not all the Desi guys go to Pakistan thinking girls outside of Pakistan are evil or culturally displaced or they are afraid of competetion etc etc.
