In news reports regarding the attack on the city of Karachi I understand there was a fire but firefighters did not attend the fire for many many hours.
It was frequently mentioned that the fire service had no diesel.I don’t understand that at all.
In a fire service the fire truck is fueled and ready to go as soon as call comes in.
But in this case we were repeatedly told there was no diesel for the fire trucks.Many people died because of this.
So the question is where did the diesel go?

They just are never prepared. I don't think it was a pre-planned thing; I think they're just flat out irresponsible.

@PCG...or, flat out corrupt!probably, they sold the diesel to local merchants...i say this because it's quite possible. the Pak Railway employees and engineers sold engine oil while running the locomotives on 'USED' and discarded oil. as a result, hundreds of locomotives were rendered useless.

Why did the Captain not stop the stealing of diesel.Why?
So if a fire occurs then what do you do in pakistan?

Will there be an investigation?
why was this allowed to occur?
Have the media not investigated this and identified them.Why have they not been charged?

exactly what happened at Karachi airport...delayed response causing necessary deaths.
the PM will take 'NOTICE' of the situation and appoint a 3-member inquiry commission which will report God knows when and then it won't be made public...collecting dust on the shelves.

looks like u are neither Indian nor Pakistani...if you were, you would have known...lolz
everyone keeps quite because everyone gets his/her share in the corruption...from top to the bottom...when time comes to be reprimanded, it's always the small fish that pay the price....big fish get off scot-free. :)

Will a member of the public not get an investigation going.A relative possibly? Lodge an FIR with the police?
BY failure to act you would be complicit in the act and the act would be repeated with yourselves as victims when you need the Fire Service.
Who and Where is the minster in charge of the fire service?
Inertia would cause perpetuity of the current behavior.
Have the staff of the Fire Station been identified.Who was the person in charge?
has the missing diesel been traced?
Why are still in their jobs? Why have they not been arrested and charged with manslaughter?

After reading the heading of thread, my thoughts were exactly the same. And really I have not seen Maulana Fazal's reaction on last Karachi air port's attack followed by two drone rides. :)
