Where did Manmohan Singh go wrong?

Why are Muslims everywhere identifying with their religion above their national identity? If I were a leader of a non-Muslim state, I would be concerned at the factions created within the country by a significant dissenting Muslim population. Here is how Talveen Singh, writing for the Indian Express, put it:

Let me give you an example from Mumbai. When President Bush came to India, thousands and thousands of Mumbai’s Muslims took to the streets to protest against his visit. Now, whatever objections we might have to the American President’s role in West Asia, from an Indian viewpoint he has been terrific. In any case, what is interesting is why it is so easy to get hundreds of thousands of Muslims on to the streets against cartoons they have never seen and an American president, and so hard to get them out when 200 citizens of their city are killed for nothing.

He goes on to question what the current regime is doing to feed this identification with, what he calls, a foreign jihad. The same sentiment is there in those consistently attacking Musharraf for being “Bush’s lapdog”. Musharraf did what was best for Pakistan.

^ some people just don't get it, he seems to be one of them, to Muslims Islam comes first form of identification everything else is second.

Re: Where did Manmohan Singh go wrong?

You ought to look at two very different aspects of Muslim behavior.

  1. Talk: We are brozers. Muslim brozers.
  2. Action: what action?

My guess is that 99.9999% Muslims simply talk. They talk $hite, and they talk Israel, they talk USA, and then talk and talk and talk.

The rest of 0.0001% get confused by all this talk and talk. So they graduate to more emotional Mullah talk. Now Mullah says, you be suicider, you get 72 hoors. That is taken up by even smaller percentage of 0.0001% in more serious level. And we see suiciders, we see Azabullah (God's wrath), and we see Hamasis. They all go and do $tupid things like bombing public places.

That is why "Muslims everywhere" but mostly limited to Arab lands are associated with romantic terrorism that crosses the national boundaris. For the vast majority 99.99999% it is just talk.
