There are couple of occassions coming up and I have found some real nice designs of Umer Sayeed but does not know if there is any outlet in/around bay area that carries his stuff…if you know do let me know and also let me know which one is the best in your opinion…as I have to buy em’ please help me in buying these…

old thread i know, but i actually phoned umar’s studio about the last one,

the lady who picked up the phone had to ask (which i always find annoying) and she cam eback and said Rs 75,000…now i was a bit astounded. i was expecting maybe 40-45,000 maxiumum but 75000!!! Guys who have been to his studio is something like this really that much or do you think the assistants just got the price wrong (i did say i was calling from overseas so maybe they hiked up the price)
I've been there plenty of times and his prices are def steep.. but the "kaam" is so fine and pretty! I love the fact that his outfits don't sparkle alot of have gold/silver defined kaam..he uses same color thread "kaam" and sequins and even semi-precious stones.

^ nope, that sounds about right. I saw similar outfits, with crystal work around the same price range in his studio. The majority of the outfits I saw recently were all around the 1 lakh mark or over. They were heavier due to the delicate thread work he is well known for, but 75,000 is pretty typical for a formal-wear outfit from him.

He doesn't jack-up the prices if u tell him u were calling from sumwhere else other than Pakistan.. his prices for semi-formals begin at 75k!

I love his Umar Sayeed, his stuff is AMAZING but his bridals go up to about $12,000 which I find insane, but he is probably THE vest designer in Pakistan, seriosuly

This guy is a genius - he has great and yet very unique designs be it amna kardar, or maheen or hsy you would see ones reflection on the other while this guy's work is just so new and unique.
I’m not sure how you guys feel about this outfit, and it gives that lingerie vibe with the colours and all, but i just really love what Umar has done here…it’s gorgeous:

^ it's all threadwork - he's really known for this type work. If I were to guesstimate, I woukld think it's close to or over 1 lakh possibly, since the threadwork is so intricate...

im gonna definately get clothes for my sis from him (and hopefully a few guy's shirts for myself too :) ). The dude is just so expensive tho! he is worth it, but then good things are always expensive :(
