Stevia is a plant. The product which is extracted from it is said to be 200 times more sweeter than sugar and it has no calories at all! It is free of all the nutrients too, which is, it is free of fat, protein, minerals etc. But it contains a very slight (a very tiny) amount of carbohydrates. However, Stevia is many times better than sugar and honey since it isn’t fattening at all. Now the question is, where can I buy stevia in Karachi? Like, seriously, I’m on a diet, and Allhamdullilah, I have lost 24 kg since the last year. I have cut out all the junk and sugary food from my diet but at times, I crave sweet stuff. I did a lot of research on Stevia and it is said to be free of any harmful substances and it has zero calories so I was fascinated by it. I’ve heard that in Punjab, many people are cultivating the stevia plants successfully. This should mean that Stevia is available in Pakistan. Can someone tell me if they’ve seen or bought stevia (powder or plant) from any super market in Karachi? If so, which market can I find it in?

Hello, I started working on stevia in Aug 2014. And now I can say that I learnt a lot after expending a handsome amount. It is true that knowledge is not Free, you have to spend to get some thing. Now alhamdulillah , I have almost 1000 Stevia plants in Karachi and about 15,000 plnts in Rahim yar Khan. Inshaallah starting extrection with in 3 months, and will be available on all major stores .

Its best not to use artificial sweetners. They are not well researched. Some sweetners contain aspartame which causes birth defects in children. If u have to use sweetner, use Gurh jnsmall amount, it contains chromium which doesnt let the blood sugar shoot high and fiber too.
