Well, to be honest I have no idea how much these things cost. I need one big one to put over my fireplace, and maybe a few small ones for around the house. All together I don't wanna spend more than $300. And since I have to bring it back i'd rather just buy the pieces wihout any frame and get it framed from here. Got any ideas?

you could commission it ... consider going to an art college ... like NCA .. and get in touch with someone from the Miniature dept. there is always someone who is super good at it ... AND you can get is customized according to the colors you want ... and what you want written.
going to galleries will only increase the price.
other than that, you could check in departmental stores like HKB and Pot Pourri.
