I would like to read about some forums, as to what sort of material is not allowed.
There is only one available in religion.
I opened a thread in general to share some harmless scientific knowledge, which immediatley got deleted.
Is there any restriction on sharing info which is commonly available ??

Codie, of course anything openly available can't be posted at GS, like half naked pictures of ppl etc etc. In general sharing recipes of bombs etc wouldn't be considered good knowledge to be shared on a message board, yep even if its a joke. You know that whole Muslim / terrorism etc etc stuff.

my two cents..any information that is publicly available doesnt become suitable for posting on a bulletin board. theres publicly available information on everything imaginable, most of which would probably be removed if it found its way here.
there might be a case for listing out things that are objectionable, but thats too tedious and would probably still miss out things that should be filtered. in the end i guess its the job of the moderator to figure out what is suitable and what isnt, and hopefully most of the time they would zone in on what should be removed and what shouldnt.
in your case i agree with sabah. given the current climate you never know you might get redflagged for clicking on that link by those very nice very friendly people reading this post right now
