During the weekend or after work hours or days off…are you still “working”? I.e, checking work email, speaking to bosses/coworkers/etc about work related things?

sadly......yes.
our internal HR coding uses the acronym PTO for "paid time off"
we use it to refer to "part-time online"

Sometimes. At my job, they're very flexible with a lot of things. So I'll continue to do work after hours or occasionally on the weekend as my part of the bargain.

Yes......the compensation is ample so I can't complain. Ah.
It does tend to get in the way sometimes when I have other things planned but work affords me so many luxuries that I do tend to prioritize it.

Yeah, I am on-call 24/7, unfortunately, good thing is its rarely exercised but I do check up on stuff over the weekend.

Very rarely, but if the need arises - then yes. We do not get paid for overtime, but management definitely appreciates it and will "reward" you for it later.

Sometimes, but I get compensated for that. If its to quickly check and email or two, then off course I don't charge.

If my husband started getting paid for extra hours of work then we would be millionaire and can afford a house in Palo Alto.

I live with the guys I work with but we don't discuss work. We get gossip but that is it. Otherwise its family, friends, politics and life.

I am on call 24X7 as i am resposnible for all the shutdowns, start up's, commissioning and services :(

Yah, I am always thinking about how I can treat a particular patient or how they are doing etc. when I am not at work. It's kind of hard to separate myself from my job.
