Definitely a good thing. Muscle weighs more than fat, and is leaner in mass. When your metabolism is burning more fat, your muscle mass is leaner, you lose inches, (even though your actual body weight may be the same or more) in turn, you become slimmer. That's why the BMI index (Body Mass Index) can be deceiving. It doesn't always account for muscle mass.

Its a good thing...don't really pay attention to the scale too much hareem.
Pay attention to your body, how it feels, how your clothes are fitting, BMI and your overall fitness level.

If you are Gymming, doing strength training then you will most likely put on muscle mass which will add to your weight but its good weight. So in real you might be loosing fat but since you are gaining muscle weight, the overall weight remains same.
Loosing in inches is actually better cuz if when u loose weight its not for sure if its the fat you are loosing or the mass, unless you go for a reliable fat test. However when you are loosing in inches it means you are loosing the flab,etc, all that you don’t want :D.
