After we lie, we should quietly repent for the sin, and try not to do it again. Lieing is not a virtue, it IS A sin- and we will be accounted for every single one of them on the Day of Judgement.

There are however four events when lying is allowed in Islam - and if someone can tell me the four I will give him a virtual chocalate chip cookie!

Jhoot bolnay pay amada kar kay shaitan hamain khush karwata hai.

Jhoot bolnay say khushi milti hai unko jo shaitan ki rahon pay chalta hai aur us jhoot kay badlay bohat say duniawi fawaid bhi hasil karta hai wo khud aur shaitan bhi. Laikin Dewi lihaaz say apna bohat bara nuqsaan karta hai wo khud bhi aur shaitan bhi.

Jis say jhoot bolta hai uska duniawi nuqsaan to hota hai laikin deni bohat bara faida hota hai jis ka koi naimul badal naheen.

Wo aap ki naiki utha raha ho ga aap ki achchaion kay palray say ya apnay gunah daal raha ho ga aap kay gunahon kay palray main. That makes me happy when I get any nuqsan.

Lie is unacceptable unless you are on a death row, but it is very common these days thats why people are asking questions like that.

okay all the ladies who are saying that a lie is unacceptable, please dont hurt your husband if you ask the question about some new clothes /// "how does this look" or'does my ass look big in this" and get an honest answer that you did not like :D
