Shamraz_Khan:
You are confusing issues. The “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof …”.
There is no church of the USA & there are no laws that prevent anyone form holding public office b/c of his religions beliefs or lack thereof.
Actually no I am not. I am referring to your first sentence.

Exactly Zafra , thats my point, because new people came on board many of the old ones saw defeat .. but this only happened in cities not in rural areas where a vast majority is still a slave to the handful of politicians for their basic needs !
Khair , regards Saudi, agreed , its racist , but thats because it has varied nationals of countries living in Saudi. About the basic human rights , agreed again but its not as bad as media portrays it. Though it can get better. and that is the only side of Saudi that I cant favourably agree with either. No country is perfect. Not even Britain or US .. To get a solution for Pakistan, we dont need to look around us for examples.. We know what the problem is , many already know what the solution is .. send the ones who bribe and cause corruption into jail and watch them all fall in line .. get a leadership who wont be scared of making a law or enforce law without keeping its interests first ..
Thats what will make a major difference to the society after which Democracy can takes its time to nourish in a positive environment
So if not a democracy then what? A monarchy? A dictatorship? A theocracy?
Because you have said that democracy is not the form of government we need right now. So which one is?
Re: When would Pakistanis say “enough is enough”?
Nope , I didnt say anywhere that Democracy is not the form of government we need .. I only said that it doesnt take decades for the right leadership to come in and enforce law .. Democracy in its currect state is not the answer because the govt makes and enforces law that suits its personal needs rather then what the country needs. with the right leadership though, Democracy would be real Democracy in Pakistan and not a mockery of Democracy

So like I said earlier, give me example of such leadership that fixed everything in less than 10 years.
Re: When would Pakistanis say “enough is enough”?
China.. they enforced law so strongly that corruption reduced significantly in that country.

Re: When would Pakistanis say “enough is enough”?
Pakistan is unique to itself , its not really as complex and issue as it seems , it has its solution right infront of it : A sincere leadership who is not above the law! that is all that it needs to take the first step towards progression , why complicate it with 100 years of waiting for democracy !
Where to bring sincere leadership from? import?

Well in the case of Pakistan, when you have the people electing the same individuals, their is no chance of having or bringing change because once elected, then the public whines and complains that nothing is happening.
