Do you assume that a person is good until/unless the other person has given you reason to believe that he/she is not deserving of the trust/friendship?

OR

Do you wait for someone to earn your trust before offering your trust/friendship?

For me, everyone is trustworthy till they give me a reason of not trusting them. Off course I am not going to trust my life or money to a total stranger on first meeting. Just like every other aspect of relationship (friendship, respect, love ...), trust grows gradually.

Also, I hardly take Mr. X's opinion about Mr. Y to form my judgment about Y. I like to develop my own relationship with people, irrespective of someone's else's opinion about him/her. Now off course I observe a good balance in that approach. If X is more important of a person than Y, and by building friendship/trust with Y means that I am going to hurt or lose X, then I would just drop the idea.

I always trust everybody but once they wrong me they lose my trust completely

I hate people until they give me a reason to think otherwise. and with every act of douchbagginess if thats a word, their credibility goes low.

unless there is a reason to NOT TRUST anyone, I start by trusting them.

Trust btw has different levels. 100% trust tu khud per bhi nahi hota. Sometimes, you think you will do it X way and you end up doing it Y way.

I try to trust in Allah (SWT) so I don't have to worry about trusting or not trusting people ... If it was down to my critical over analytical mind I wouldn't trust anyone ... because even where I may conclude their intentions may be pure I would not necessarily conclude that their ability is present to fulfill or uphold their trust.

If I can't bear the loss then I sooner avoid situations where giving trust is required ... If I can bear the loss - I watch intently, mainly for entertainment. The end result is that it appears that I have trusted all if not at least many ... but the fact is I evlauate the potential harm/damage and take the risk or not ...

I try to make my own assessment on people and deem trustworthy on how they are with me. However if I meet someone new and they are willing to spill their guts about their near and dears ones do not fare well in my books and hence are not welcome in my trust circle. I wouldnt want to be judged by someone on what they have heard about me so it is only fair i set the example by not doing the same!! Pedos and people with criminal record as well as skeevy men are a total different story!!!

I let trust build over time after I get a sense of who they are. Sometimes if I get a really good sense that they are a good/decent person, I feel more inclined to open up to them. This happens easier online usually :-/

i trust every one until I myself experience something bad and yes i don´t listen to other persons for building my trust or not.
