My cousin’s bro-in-law is shot dead in Karachi last night. Innalillahe wa inna ilahe rajioon. The guy was 32 and his marriage was fixed on July 7th this year. The youngest of 7 siblings whose father passed away when he was hardly one year old. The brilliant of all, a Charted Accountant by profession, very successful. The lively child of the house, everyone’s beloved. Young, smart and decent man. Taking care of his mother for last one decade. The mother who struggled as a young widow with seven children, raising them, providing the highest education. She can hardly walk for years now. Imagine what would be happening to her and the family. She is in shock, not talking not crying either.
The guy was returning after purchasing some medicine for his mom from a Pharmacy. On his way home, he stopped at an ATM and was driving back to home when this happened. He got two shots in heart and stomach.
Is there anyone who can provide justice to this old and sick mother? Will the murderers be ever arrested and brought to justice.? NO. This is Pakistan. This is Karachi. No one ever get caught in the city. People are tight lipped for their own secuirty. Only when the tragedy comes to their door step one day, then they realise what they have been tolerating for decades. May Allah’s wrath be on these murderers and those who back them.

Reminds me of a hadeeth my late uncle often used to quote, gist of which is:
There will come a time when the murderer and the one who got murdered, both, will not know the cause of the murder; that is the one who will be killing would not know why he is killing the person and the person being killed will have no clue why he's being killed...
Inna Lillah-hi Wa'Inna Illay-hi Raaje-oon ...Extremely tragic ...May he be granted with Jannah Al-Firdous and may his loved ones be given the strength and patience to overcome this traumatic incident... Ameen
So the devil will form a devilish maze, confuse people, make them commit crimes, people comitting crimes not knowing why he is doing that, people amassing wealth, insensitive to other less priviliged people's sufferrings... the list goes on.
