When there was gloom and doom

… over the last few days and many predicting Armageddon for the Paksitani team if Aus takes lead of 50, I categorically stated that pak will win.

Triumph of experience over youth. :snooty:

ehsan bhai kee chooti chooti khushain :stuck_out_tongue:

Allah karay jeet jaye

Re: When there was gloom and doom

Some posters here are too pessimistic.

well done ehsan bhai! so are you a Butt fan now? (Salman that is!)

there was reason for that too.... it took 4 wickets to score 40 runs...

I did not expect an easy walk. Aussies have not been beaten by us for no reason right? Our young team was battling own demons than a believer aussie team!

exactly the reason of being pessimistic...

Re: When there was gloom and doom

Moral of the story is to have faith.

Re: When there was gloom and doom

yesterday i spent my time being ironic and laughing at saying that we were underdogs chasing 40 with just 7 wickets.

i woke up and cursed my kali zabaan

I am beginning to like him. beat England or a good series against them and I will be a fan. Well done Salman and hope pakistan keeps flourishing and moving from strength to strength.

My focus is Pakistan and anyone who can deliver I will be his fan.

Have faith sometimes :)

:hehe:

didn’t you say yesyerday that if Pakistan beat Australia in this test match, you will becom Salman butt’s fan :hehe:

^ chha gaye hayn! :D

InshaAllah he will not rest on his laurels and continue to improve in all forms of cricket.

Re: When there was gloom and doom

I think a lot of us were being cautious rather than pessimistic given our recent history against Australia in tests

A bit too close for comfort - but that was perhaps to be expected even against a decent rather than outstanding Australian team because they are known fighters - almost reminiscent of the Lord's test aginst England in 1992

Victory was sweet in the end
