Danial Shah: You are what Plato referred to as the Hoi Polloi...The hoi polloi are those people whose aim is to live, breed and die...Although they are the majority, Plato expects nothing from them and insists that it is the duty of thinkers and doers to guide them and protect them but not to expect anything from them...A good example of them would be sheep...
The whole concept behind the mentality of the hoi polloi is that they find guidance from the loudest and strongest source...Not the most correct or authentic...They are happy with the status quo i.e. eat, sleep, work, breed and die. They want nothing more nothing less just security. And that's where it ends because being happy with the status quo, they are not assumed to possess any relevance regarding history.
Now that the definition of the hoi polloi according to Plato is out of the way, let us work from history downwards.
Seminole asked, shouldn't the followers of the religion realize themselves what got them into such trouble in the first place? The answer is, yes...They should definitely ask themselves this question and have a little insight into history as well.
We mus assume that this question was posed by other religions before the followers of Islam. Would the Christians who were thrown to the lions, tortured and killed in the thousands by the Romans have asked this question? Would the Jews have asked this question in the 20th century? Would the Vietnamese have asked this question? Would the Japanese innocent civlians have asked this question?
And many, countless examples of where peoples or persons would have asked: What did I do to deserve this? What is it that we did to deserve this?
For this we go into history, because that is where the answer lies.
All wars are fought for commodity, except religious wars. So let us forget religious wars and concentrate on wars and killings that was done for commodities. What are commodities? Land, resources, labour are commodities as well as power.
The reason the innocent Christians were fed to the lions by the Romans was because their commodity of power was threatened. The Christians were no different in appearance, habits, language or anything from the pagan Romans, however, their belief was not in norm with the majority, which means, the power of the Romans was not exerted in its entirety upon the Christians, however as much as they were law abiding citizens of Rome. However the tiny difference in the veiws they held inside their minds was enough warrant their genocide.
Same was the case with Stalin. Same was the case with Hitler and same was the case with Pol Pot. Difference in ideology.
Why were the Prophets (peace be upon them) tortured so much? What could one man do? You can ignore them...But no. Ibraheem (as) was being thrown into the fire, Hz. Lut (as) was ridiculed, Hz. Eesa (as) was supposedly crucified e.t.c., so what is it that made these harmless people warrant death against them?
Power...
This is for all those that are saying, that we will fight with the Mahdi's army in Ka'aba and side with the Muslims of that time...You should ask yourself this question: What makes you think you will not be fighting wit the Kuffar against the Muslims? Can you give me that guarantee? Can you guarantee that you will be loyal to the armies before the coming of Mahdi (as)?
When Hz. Eesa (as) was being crucified, the governor of Jerusalem at the time, Pontius Pilate, called all the Jews together and asked them three times: What should I do with this man? And all three times the Jews answered, Crucify him...
Ponitus Pilate was so amazed that he asked the Jews, before pronouncing the sentence, that what has this man done to you? What harm has this individual caused you?
They all answered in unison: He causes sedition...
And you know what is even more amazing? It is the fact that these were the same Jews, thousands of them, who had witnessed his miracles, attended his sermons and called him the King of Jews...These were now the same people who had now become his bitter enemies...And do you know why?
Propaganda...The whispers put into the ears of the Jews by their elders, made the Hoi Polloi of the Jews turn against their own Prophet...The person they saw with their own eyes raise the dead, heal the lepers, cure the blind e.t.c. had now become the enem of Jews...How is it possible that the people who had promised allegiance to this man had now suddenly turned against him? It is all the power of propaganda...
Today, the same glorious Mujahideen who were fighting the Russians, have now become terrorists...Resistance, which has happened throughout the word anytime a nation has come under attack, is now termed as insurgency...And those, who have done the most murdrs in history, have become the saviours of humanity...
And it's all thanks to the power of propaganda...
So today, as many of you say, we will be with the Muslims, I will defend Ka'aba, I will be with the armies of the Muslims, what guarantee is there that it won;t be you who would be fighting them?
So, this propaganda, has now unleashed itself upon the Muslims...And the Hoi Polloi, who have little need or desire for history, or the lessons it contains, who live only for the moment, believe every word that is spoken to them from the media...Every word they spew against the Muslims is word to word the teleprompter of the propaganda machine talking...You can almost predict what the next words will be...
So answer is, it does not matter what a race of people does or what a person does that demands action against them. It is simply the threat to a commodity that necessitates what actrion to be taken.
The Riechstag fire in Germany was the fulcrum upon which the genocide of Jews took place. The Jews hadn't done anything. The fire was started by Nazi officials. Yet, it was a Polish Jew, Grynszpan (I have seen his pic and he looks exactly like our Crescent...lol) who was blamed which was followed by the first of the travesties against the Jews: The infamous Kristallnacht...
So, we really can't predict where we will be...I might be someone shouting and cheering for the Kuffar when the final battles begin...I might be under the spell of propaganda...
The western empires have always been at war...The wars between the empires of Spain, England, Holland, Portugal, France e.t.c had millions of people die...WWI and II almost had an accumlative death count exceeding 100 million...Then the internal strifes like Stalin's and Vietnam, Japan bombings, I mean the list is endless...Billions have died in the wars of the west...
But the propaganda would always claim, that every war is a fight for justice and that every resistance is a form of terrorism...And being the Hoi Polloi, we believe it and start blaming ourselves...
But as long as we keep believing in the lies submitted to us by the media in the form of propaganda, we will never become Muslims, in fact we become anti-Muslims like Danial, who thinks that when every Muslim is dead, that's when real peace will settle in...
History has proven this to be false again and again...But if people learned their lessons from history, we wouldn't be hoi polloi now, would we?
