Thats cute in a way....but imagine if you're trying to fix a problem that will cost your company millions of dollars and the clock is ticking, you need to focus and concentrate and your cell phone is ringing every 20 minutes. Not a good thing.
Another case....your spouse has unexpectedly been invited out - co-workers, bosses or clients....and you keep calling. Makes him look like a real wuss. An UNtrusted one.
You either trust your spouse or you dont. If you dont, you are either very insecure or very smart. And if you ARE very smart, you KNOW it and dont need to be insecure because you know that neither of the two above scenarios apply.

there is no untrust in ours, we know each other from age 10, she is my junior in school
:biggthumb Thats nice lakkis! Me too, we trust and love each other and thats how things should be. If you dont have trust, you dont have much at all....
I worked in pakistan in construction company for few month before moving to USA ..
those were the days when, forget about having a cell phones, land lines were not that common ..
many a times , in the haste of completeing a project (that is laying water main in Steel Mills, Karachi) foreman and skilled labors had to stay overnight without having any way of telling their families that they can't come home tonight ..
As X2 says, sometimes its survival that keeps you away , late
I don't think my wife has to worry about me coming home late. I always come home before time and surprise her. I am normally home by 4:45 but sometimes I am home by 4:15 - 4:30. One some days, like this past Friday, not too many people were at work due to Good Friday, I was home after Jumma. She was shocked and scared to answer the door thinking who it may be :D
Well thats what I do most of times as well but it spoils my wife alot. Like few days when I was constantly coming home after 5.30 she was like WHY are you late.
The distance between our house and my husband's office is only 10 mins walk, he comes around twice or thrice a day from his work to just say hello to me(or sometime help me in house work), we also talk to each other 2 or 3 times a day on the phone and he usually comes on time after finishing his work.
I read this thread from the beginning, but I didn't think my wife would write such a nice post about me. Sometimes I do come late, and sometimes I don't even give enough time to her or my children and go out again to help friends with their problems.
Doubt can be a good thing too. I'm not too uncomfortable if my wife doubts me, because it means I'll try to please her, and vice-versa. And anyway when she becomes upset with me for not giving her time I calm myself down and realise that she is hastling me only because she loves me and wants to be with me. That can't be bad can it?
We should also realise that real doubts should be based on some concrete evidence, before distrust really sets in. Doubts and jealous thoughts fly around us all the time ... As a Muslim I blame the Devil and seek protection from God from the harm in such thoughts.

Peace All
