I wish I was the type to stand up tall and talk it out without any confrontation happening but I think I would sulk or avoid the person but would not make sarcastic remarks. I don't think I would want to be depressed but if it's someone I valued and loved a lot that hurt or disappointed me then maybe.

As much as I try to change, I just tend to be the one to forgive because my heart can't take it to hate the person so much but I won't forget what they did.

I am unfortunately a cut off-er. I just delete people from my life because I have enough trouble with social niceties as it is. Trying to fake a relationship is not for me. Sometimes I keep to salam dua but other times I don't even bother with that.

As much as i wish i wasn't like this, I am, especially if it's someone I saw in a wonderful light and ended up totally hurting me.
Im going through a similar situation at the moment but I don't know how to react. One of my very close friends has started acting very differently. She has disappointed me a couple of times. For instance, she has lied to me about small things recently and she has done some other things for which I don't see the reason behind it. I think she's ignoring me for some reason. And I don't have the courage to ask her. We both study together so as much as I want to avoid seeing her now , I can't. And I really don't want to end this relationship.
There is no one right answer to this IMO. I have done several of the above in different situation. It all depends on what the person did to disappoint me, whether its the first time it happened, and what my relationship is with that person. Some relationships are worth saving/fighting for. Others....not so much.
Wait for apology before forgiving. This forgive and forget is BS. If a person who does wrong won't acknowledge he or she did wrong there is no question of forgiving.
Confront the person. And also let others know abt this person. - never a winning strategy. But this old dog don't know any better.

How do you deal with the person?
I imagine them dead or like invisible that their existence stops bothering me. Or if I am less pissed I maintain a healthy distance and keep my conversation to a plain yes or no
What about feeling so very uncomfortable, awkward around the person. If it was all fun and relaxed before the painful event now it's like I just can't wait to get away from the person. I guess it comes from not being able to forget what happened and how much of a total jerk the person is for doing it.
