I just absolutely hate it that people just dont bother replying to emails. They might be busy but there does come a time of year that one may drop a reply to the email. It is really not a big deal. Also, let me clarify that i have no issues of any sort with them, it is just plain laziness or maybe an attitude issue with them.

Sometimes, i even wish people a happy birthday via an email and i dont get a response. I am so not this way. If some one wishes me birthday that is quite a deal for me and i have the courteousy to reply back with a warm thank you. I also know that they do check their emails but just dont bother replying. for example, if i mail some cousin abroad just a hello hi and asking how everyone is. Huh! i dont get a reply. I just dont understand that even if some one is busy they can drop a small email later some time that ‘sorry i was busy’ ‘sorry i was out of town,we are all well’ but naah! totally careless attitude.

Sometimes either they get busy or they have an attitude.

And some people communicate better via phone than email.

Email a kind greeting for the goodness of it and try not to have too many expectations about getting a response or even a response to your liking.

I know some people who give terse one-line responses in their emails that make them sound cold........but that's just their writing style.

Also........if you notice that someone is continuously ignoring you........then maintain a distance.

Or try communicating via phone instead if they prefer phone calls better.

make a list of all those who didn't reply to ur wishes n send them a virus next time

I dislike this a lot too. Many a times i wish people birthdays via a 123greeting card or via an email. I do get the confirmation that some one has checked the email but even then not even a thank you message. Its really annoying that you know that people are checking their emails but dont respond. I would call it their attitude problem or carelessness too.

If anybody calls me and i am unavailable, or sends a text message or an email, i make it a point to reply back whenever i can even if its a small message but some people just dont bother doing it at all. Its just part of manners and decency that one should reply.

I had no idea that people took this stuff so serious. There was a thread about people blocking people on MSN, and now we have this one.

Alright, I am quite careless when it comes to personal emails. I would rather call somebody up, that is a more proper mode of communication. What pisses me off is when you call someone and they dont answer - which means they get a missed call notification - and then they don’t call back. As for messenger and email, it doesn’t bother me at all. But boy I must have pissed quite a few people off :hehe:

I used to be the same way.. always trying to figure out why i wouldnt get the email back.
But i got over it, ever since ive been soo busy, it gets to a point where sometimes it takes me a day or 2 or even a week to reply to emails etc. However, I do reply.
& now, if someone doesnt have the courtesy to reply back to an email or even just write back a short one line email about how theyre busy and will email back in detail i dont bother! Im not going to run after your reply.. if you dont wana reply thats fine by me :D

emails are boring. one needs time and patience to

-write them out
-wait for the reply

everyone these days is always short of time. one doesn't have that much time or patience. plus, emails might not make someone feel that special when you wish them. live interaction means a real wish - i guess its more fun to hear it out then just read someone's wish

a phone call is totally different its more fun and is quick. face to face is even better.

but anyhoo, make your emails more fun so ppl feel like replyin to you and dont feel bored..

If someone does not bother replying with even a one liner, then I just don't bother including them in the mass emails that says when where the party is at, who's invited and all that... cause that person obviously does not think I am important enough to answer to - so why bother them?

Just enjoy your parties with people who care to reply! believe me your email replies will start flowing on time :)
