When our dog died years ago...

The house was quiet, even Dad was pretty shaken, though he had never shown much love to the dog outwardly.

Lunch and Dinner was a mess - no one ate anything. My sister did’nt stop mourning for 4 or 5 days.

There was no one to welcome us with their barks & furocious wagings when we returned from school. We promised ourselves we’ll never have a dog again - there was too much pain when they left us.

After several years, we’ve again got a dog and though he’s now only 4 years old, I can not bear the thought of one day he’ll be no more.

If you’ve had a pet - have you gone through these experiences and what were your reactions.

Re: When our dog died years ago...

When I was a little we used to have a dog, a nice little alsation who me and my siblings would play with everyday after school. I still remeber having races against the dog in the lawn, and throwing a tennis ball and having the dog catch it. But when we moved, we had to give-up the dog, very said moment for me indeed. :(

Simmilar thng happened with a cat i used to have it. The cat was very playfull who would wait for me to come from school near the outside of the window to my room. And once again, because of moving, had to leave the cat behind.....

Im probably going to get another animal soon, maybe an alsation or even a doberman(!), hehe...

Re: When our dog died years ago...

i had many pets . yes two of them were dogs ..
one of them died .. and the thought that it was dead was painful for me .. at least.

the second was given to dad's friend as a gift .

i had those pheasants or whatever they are called ... i had a pair of them ..
it was always good giving them food and running after them .. but they caught some disease ..
i took them to a vet .. but both of them died ... yes this affected the whole family ..

i had a cat .. when we shifted to another .. the cat wouldn't stop going back .. and eventually she left us .
