So whats your reaction when your kids arent listening to you at home or at others houses? How do you make them behave?
I mean, if two siblings are fighting and you ask them to stop, but no one listens, what should the action be?
We had a family over yesterday with two toddlers. The kids kept hitting each other, so my mother told this baji (mother) that she should tell them to stop even at home and her reply was “Yeh nahin kissi ki sunte, maine kya kehna hai” .. Seriously? I was kinda surprised by this reply, but I dont have kids. I just remember when we were younger and if we did something slightly wrong Ammi would give us the “look” and we would immediately know, we had to back off NOW!
I wonder the same because we as kids was the same ^ but nowadays parents have no control over their kids and the most stupidiest reaon they can come up for it is “bacho ko zyada rok tok karna theek nahi according to the latest studies blah blah …” :halo:.

No, she didnt tell them to stop either.
First I observe what kids are doing I mean whether kids are happy and enjoying fighting (playing) or just trying to make one of them cry. afterward I explain my kid very politely that how to behave in front of others or at any other place.
Well, whether you agree or not but kidz listen (afraid) to dad more than mom because mom in a day, 101 out of 100 times prevent their kidz. This is also one reason mostly kidz don't listen to their mothers.
Sometimes, its goods to ignore what kidz are doings, because the kidz thinks by doing such things, parents pay more attention so the kidz repeat.
Well my baby is small but I remember r mother told us once if I saw u fighting mei tumheri hadiya tor du gi lolz n me n my bro got so afraid v never fought in front of any1 whether at r home or in some1 else's n my mum always used 2 say meri ankh ki zooban samjha karo hehehhe
^haha my mum says the same about ankhen ki zubaan. Some times she used to say "others kids are better at understand aankh ki zubaan" other times when she saw how kids were behaving, she would be like "mere bache toh bohat hi sharif hain" lol
wo mom interested nahi ho gee :)
sometimes i let my kids fight(unless its physical) but if it gets serious then i interfere first orally ,then take action. best way is to distract the younger one n divert to something of interest.
