Aap sab in pages par waqtan fawaqtan mere adventures parhte rehte hain. You might have witnessed Nathiagali (and the pics of the resident hero aka me hehe ) on these very pages before.
This time around, fed up of the hectic office life here…we decided to break free and decided to take a quickie to nathiagali last week.
We boarded a train for lahore..which was late…we jumped off on the station (only after the 2 guards) and boarded the bus to isloo. Wahan raat ko pauhanche…Melody Food park main fit khana khaya (Chicken Tawa..my all time favorite) aur phir so gae.
Subha cheekho-pukaar (jo ke dair hone ki waja se thi..) us par aankh khuli. Aik doosray se lartay..aik doosray ki shaan main ACHI ACHI baatein karte hum loug got dressed..and took off for Nathiagali. sab ne pehle he warn kia tha ke beta SAB KUCH jamm jata hai..tayyari se jaana to aap ko aane wali pics main andazaa ho jaega ke waqai sab kuch jamm jaata hai aur meri tayyari bhi nazar aa jaegi.
Splendid! If i were to define the experience in one word. Main..jis ne apni zindagi main fridge se bahar snow/ice type ki cheez nahin dekhi thi…itni snow dekh kar to bekhud he ho gaya na. Oopar se the magic that shifting light on snow casted was beyond words.
A must-recommended tour folks. Enjoy the snaps and the accompanying short description:

Khanzada, Great pictures. Thanks for sharing. i would have almost missed this thread.
Is it just my eyes or were you wearing sneakers? You should never wear regular sneakers if you are going to be walking knee-deep through snow… and you should have had snow pants on top of your jeans. Keeps the snow out, gives you more insulation. But as long as you didn’t feel cold, i guess that’s the main thing. Your pictures lend a ‘realistic’ view to a place i have only ever heard of. Thanks for sharing yaar. Beautiful images.
Note: Oopar ke paanch wale loug bhi bohate naik hain mashallah :~)
Nadia: maanh..you got some sharp eye or what? Yes, i was guilty of wearing regular sneakers..kyonke…mere paas nae ache wale snow boots ke paisay nahin thay na kia yaad dila dia but i wore leather socks on top of my regular socks and hence the insulation grins from ear to ear haan leather snow pants bhool gaya tha..which i regretted
Thank you…hai to realistic view par jana zaroor hai wahan..acha? and why would you have missed the thread…main pitai nahin kar deta kia?
hehe i’m afraid it wasn’t sharp eyesight. In the skiing wali picture, where you are standing next to the skiier, you can see your sneakers clearly.

aww. :~( If you come to Canada i’ll gift you a good pair of snow boots. Waisay ahem :o scolding tone Leather pants in snow is not ahem recommended. :halo: i only mention this cuz i almost got frostbite on my fingers many years ago because i went out in the snow improperly dressed; i even thought i’d have to get four of my fingers amputated because the frostbite felt that severe. Hence lesson learned for me. Leather pants are okay for impressing the girls But not good in snow. i don’t have this but something like this fleece-lined, nylon water-resistant snow pants looks guaranteed to keep you comfy and warm:

If you ever visit Canada [Insha’Allah], i’ll really be able to show you.
i can always dream about visiting this place can’t i ?
Nadia: Awwww…thank you for the khayali snow boots mujhe lagta hai inhi ko lene ke laiy aana parey ga Canada. Oops…nahin nahin main larkion ko hargiz impress nahin kar raha tha and to tell you the truth..since i had never been out in snow before…to sochta tha ke leather is perhaps the best way to keep oneself warm ab pata chala yeh fleece-lined thing is the in thing. Don’t dream…just make a shugal melay wala jhat-pat visit to Pakistan and make sure you get this in the places to visit
