she has vomited it out once before and twice today, is this something to worry about, how many times do they do it beofre its something to worry about?
shes usually a hu gry baby, today she drank at 2pm her usual 3 ounces and then at 7pm she drank another 3 but it all came out, am sure it was the lot, my entire top was wet, so does that mean the 3oz she had all came out, or does it just look that way, do they retain any inside..so i made another 1 oz, which she drank half, this is around 15 mins after she did this.
am i doing something wrong? i did give infacol, could the infacol be doing this?
i want to swtich to comfort milk from cow and gate, but maybe its too soon, and should i get adivce first?
thanks
Don't give her things or switch things without consulting a doctor.
Babies spit up, that's normal. Vomiting is usually more than reflux. She maybe overfed.
Reflux is only a problem if she is in severe pain or if she is not growing, you'll have regular check ups, and if there is a concern, the doc will tell you.
Also you're in th UK and lucky enough to have a nurse regularly visiting you to help and advise you. Use that resource! There are also free mom clinics available to you, which you should regularly use.

alhumdulilah shes growing fine, she seems to cry for a few seconds and then shel be calm but this isnt constant, its a just few times maybe in a day.,...mostly at night she seems unsettled, but nothing that sounds severe crying, or anything.,
so you think its just vomiting?due to overfeeding..but today she had her usual feed at 2pm then nothing until 7pm,,,so how could this be overfeeding?confused.
can i give her ajwain paani (mums been telling me for ages to give it to her)
spit up all babies do... if its a violent vomit where it just seems like her entire stomach has been emptied is not normal. its very hard to know the diff as a new parent.
reflux is an issue when the baby throws up after every single feed.... if its just sometimes, then its not a matter of concern.
what are you giving infacol for? read the in lay.... what are the side effects?
the time frame you are giving... it doesnt sound liek overfeeding...
Some spit-up is normal. Infacol is for reducing the air babies swallow from bottle feeding, isn't it?
Instead of giving infacol, why not use bottles that reduce bubbles and air, like Dr. Brown's.
oh... so they are like mylicon drops.... i agree with MIA..... instead of medicine... just use a bottle that is vented.... Dr.Browns was a life saver for me!
nadz i think its toooooooooooo early for her to hv infacol.. why r u givin it anyway???? why dun u use those special anti-colic or air system nipple (bottles).. many companies like NUK, Dr brown, pur and others have this system and i think it works a bit. i just strted NUK one and her gas has decreased a bit... dunno abt dr browns but i have read so many gud reviews abt it.. pls do try these bottles and dun give her infacol pls
u shud def speak to ur doc before u give it.. has ur doc told u to give it? i dun think any doc wud recommend it unless he is sure that the baby is showin signs of either colic or reflux.. if ur baby is ok and has no complains i think its best to just give gripe water (ppl in pak swear by it and give it to their baby regardless of gas prb) and even ive read westerners swearing about it that its awsum!
nonehaal is gripewater
oh n maybe shes not takin to the infacol i know my son diddnt, he used to cry all night wen i gave him the drops n the moment i stopped he stopped crying :D
the pediatrician put my baby on prevacid for his reflux. He has been on it for over 2 months. Now, instead of giving it to him once every night, I give him every other night in order to see how he does and eventuallu wean him off it. I've also started giving him an ounce of water and it seems to help. He hates water, but a few sips here and there is fine. I hope you have checked with your baby's pediatrician before introducing any medication. I tried simethicone (mylicon) a couple of days and he would throw up his milk, so I stopped and swore never to be his doctor again!
