I was reading the Islamic Society of North America website and the message they had was that it will be on Friday, but just in case i think it would be best to check that site later on today.

That way I get to miss the most boring lecturers boring lecture.
Most groups in US go by the scientific moon sighting system, according to which the Eid falls on Dec. 6th (Friday) ... but it's also in the fine prints that one should get out in the evening and look for moon the night of 29th.

It was announced tonight in Mekkah Mukarramah that the crescent moon of the month of Shawaal was officialy sighted.
Based on this, tomorrow, Thursday Dec 5, 2002 is Ead UlFitr.

I was present with a colleague of mine when he received a phone call from Dubai earlier today announcing that 'Eid will be tomorrow (Thursday), insha'Allah. 'Eid Mubarak to everyone, whichever day you celebrate it.

I got txt message from Uk that eid is on thursday but here in pakistan i am sure they will do it friday they always do it one day after Uk for some reason!
