Some Masajids in Houston follow calculation method of declaring eid so they have declared it for tomorrow already. My local masjid follows local moon sighting method therefore we will find out tonight.
I do not agree to the moon sighting methods used by those who believe in seeing the moon by human eyes. If you want to be local then do not rely on any phone calls from any part of the region just stick to your own city. If nobody in the city saw the moon then it is the end of it. You complete your 30 fasts.
This method of waiting till after midnight to hear from somebody in El Salvador or Brazil or Chichoon Key Malyan gives rise to all that discrepancy.
But what can I do nobody listens to me. :hinna:

95% of the masjids (including mine) in Dallas follow ISNA’s Fiqh Council, thus the moon calculation method is used, and Eid has been announced for Monday July 28th.

still waiting to hear from the masjid here in Toronto

although isna.ca and islamicfoundation.ca already declare the Eid as they follow Saudia/south africa…

but we wait for our masjids and the hilal committees
