Re: when i was young
Did you do the hand jester thing, where you fold your hands inside out, point your pointer fingers up, and then open your hands up while saying
"Here is this Mosque and here is it's steeple, open it up and look at all the people"
Re: when i was young
no... we had
here's the CHURCH and here's the steeple
mosques dont have steeples
that rhyme was nicked from the Christians
Re: when i was young
Well when i was young......there used to be a shopkeeper on the ground floor at my uncles house. We cousins used to buy from him paisa biscuits. 50 biscuits for 50 paisa, and he would at times give us less biscuits than the amount we paid him, so obviously we hated him.
Once i was standing on the roof and i saw that the guy has brought a bag of flour and it was lying just outside the shop and happened to be just underneath the "PARNALA"(donno what is this called in English...its thru which the rain/water drains from roof to ground)
I thought that to teach him a lesson i will urinate thru the PARNALA over the bag of flour. Though some people were passing in the street, i thought no one will know coz no one is looking up. So when i did make water and it fell over the open flour bag, to my amazement everyone in the street started looking up to the roof and cried "Aye munda aatey tey peshaab kerda pya aye". So ran inside the house. Later my uncle had to pay for the flour bag.
Re: when i was young
Aaisha.... cheeky!
underthedome, those mosques have an identity crisis, everyone knows that mosques have domes and churches have steeples and thats how we can identify those people we hate
we hate people who go to building with steeples if mosques had steeples we'd all be very confuddled
Re: when i was young
when i used to read namaaz standing next to my grandma, i didn't know any surat, so i used to read through 'la illaha illalaa' over and over again. And then i used to ask for things from ALLAH (swt). I remember asking for my parents to stop fighting and a new game............

Re: when i was young
Ms Daisy vaisy, that’s why you’re supposed to glue your fingers. But I’d understand in your case if you’d keep them glued even afterwards. ![]()

When Lazy Daisy was young…so was I ![]()
Re: when i was young
Returning Crusaders fashioned those steeples after the minarets they saw in mosques in the Middle-East.
