while i was at my parents' place....kids no kids....we were supposed to be there...either helping ammi in the kitchen or keeping the guests company...
when the hosts or their kids go about doing their own stuff...i think its rude....!

well..i had guests over just right now for thanks giving..some of them left..and now its just us and some of our close family relatives..and i am in my room..i dont think i am being rude..even thou i am sure my mom does! my parents dont even think its right when i talk on the phone with my relatives arround..

If it's like Aunties and Uncles then I just say salaam and then do my own thing because they start talking about boring stuff like laundry detergents and crap. If there's like a girl around my age or something then I'll probably talk with her and my sisters and stuff...

i usually stick around and help my mom out whether there are people of my age or not. Also I dont find it very difficult to mix in with people of all ages. i've been known to carry on a conversation with aunties/uncles as well as kids.

I stay around and give as much time to guests as possible. My parents don’t like if I just say salaam and go my way - and I agree with my parents.
Besides I have no problem talking to any age group. I actually enjoy spending time with the guests. And I know they like talking to me too .
And yes, soon they leave, I am the one who attacks the leftovers
