How do you react when your guests are coming late and they even don’t bother to call you that you are coming late.And everyone is waiting for food wil you serve the food or wait for the late comers

they are late you can't have everyone wait for just a few people. Hopefully it will be a lesson learned on their part.

Don't wait.
It's so rude when guests do that. One of the main reasons people go to dawats IS food and I would hate to keep them waiting just because some other lazy ones didn't bother to call.

This is why I don't go to dawats. The hosts will make you wait while they're waiting for some VIP to walk in.

I HATE going to a dawat and these peole just START to cook the food. Its annoying!!!
You are right PCG but there are some dinner manners and what else can we do accept cursing in our heart.
Sara I don't get it dinner or lunch is always ready before guests come in.

Pareezay yep people come on dinner to eat and we shouldn't do that.

UZ, trust me, we went on a dawat a few months ago. We got there 5 minutes after the scheduled time. The only thing ready was the pasta. They were still cooking the salan, rice, frying stuff, cutting salad etc... at the end we all rolled up our sleeves and got to work :D
I think desis are late because we don't respect the time of the host who spends so much time and money getting things ready. Lack of respect is the biggest reason.

some of us walk-in late simply becoz dy wanna arrive rite when dinner opens.. which is late than usual most of times.... hate the pre-maths

It goes both ways:
Sometimes host thinks people will be late anyway so they are not prepared.
Sometimes gusts are late since they know dinner will be late anyways.
It is better for anyone to tell others to be punctual - knowing many people out of habit will be late. No excuses. Start dinner/meal or anything special on time. Why should early comers suffer for lazy people who do not even bother to call ahead?
Late comers have to lose the fun!
In reality though, I have never seen late comers complain and it is the host who make a big deal about few 'star' guests.
