So i think…that after sometime…the edit button disappears after a certain amount of time elapses after the post is made…

if its true..

how long after you making the post does it disappear??

Reason: So that the people who write rude and offensive posts don't just say all they want to and then delete/edit their posts before the mods see it lol...gaalian day kay jisko pharwana hai pharnay do phir mita do so that the mods don't warn you...nishan he nahi rahay ga toh kaisay pakray ga koi ;)...maybe issi liyeh.

The button gets disabled after 24 hours.
Nomi did not ask for reason. He knows the reason already. :snooty:

Can you actually delete or edit your posts? If not, then why not? Please answer as this is a serious question!

You can edit/delete the content of the post within 24 hours, but you cannot delete the post itself.

you can NEVER delete your own posts (only mods have that authority). however you can always edit your posts but with in 24hours after that the edit button dies. the reason that you cannot delete your own post is because many people can misuse it like writing something offensive and then deleting it later on to remove the evidence plus it will disrupt the flow of posts since there can be people who have quoted.

So just to clarify, you can request the mods to edit or delete on your behalf???

i think you can do it if doesnot disrupt in anyway and you have a good reason.
