When do brides need to stop adding to their look?

I’m having a small (compared to Pakistani standards) wedding with around 200-250 guests, and I just don’t want it to seem like I’m trying to hard, but still I want the nath, the flowers in the hair etc … I don’t know if this is too over the top :frowning:

a function with 200 guests is not a small function! go ahead

It's YOUR big day!! Go all out!! Why stop? You will be the center of attraction. Aur waise bhi, people will talk no matter what! Just do what you are comfortable with and what you want to do :)

Honestly, that sounds like A LOT (and I'm normally really super duper into bling and girly stuff), but.....you get this once in a life time. People will talk crap anyway, so do whatever to your heart's content. :)

go crazy girl, its your big day!Although go crazy in a classy way..I am all for dramatic makeup but not so it looks like you have put 25 pounds of makeup..The makeup should be dramatic yet enhance your natural beauty.

You are saying the dress is heavy with kaam all over it. The picture of the jewellery you have shown is very, very heavy jewellery (IMHO I must add). I would perhaps consider wearing a smaller set. You don't necessarily have to compromise on the nath, tikka etc, but maybe it doesn't have to be so big. I think a more delicate jewellery set will compliment a heavy kaam dress very well. That way the attention would be on your dress and your jewellery could accentuate and enhance the beauty of the dress. By having big, bling bling jewellery + plus dress, you risk the chance of looking like a Christmas tree!

In terms of make up, smokey eyes is fine but I would echo what others are saying that make sure you still look like YOU with all that make up on - you don't want your face to be unrecognisable!
