decide to get married? I.e. mentally. Were you prepared for it? Or was it just abrupt? If it was was, was adjusting difficult?

Mentally I am still not ready to get married.. but I got (nikahed) at the age of 20 and since then I am mentally preparing myself for new adventures in my life.

yes, abrupt! it was like BANG!
a bit difficult, yes. i cried cus ill be leaving my parents and my siblings and moving away far far away. but its alright now.

GoriLady- I am already married and have a 18 month old baby MasAllah. Since my sarcasm sucks I meant that I don't think you can really be ready for marriage as noone really knows the responsibility till it comes to you.

I was not prepared at all and got nikah at age of 20. A year later was the wedding so i had time to adjust and prepare even thought i don't think you can ever be fully ready your life is changing and taking a new direction

ever since i realized that i cant see him marry anyone else, and neither can i see myself marry anyone but him.. when i knew deep in my heart that i want to spend the rest of my life with him.

Honestly didn't even cross my mind till I was 24. None of my friends were married and it wasn't something we really talked about either, same with my cousins etc. Even tho I'm engaged I still don't think about marriage itself that much..
