How old was your baby when you took him/her out for the first time (not including doctor’s visits or people’s houses, i mean to the mall for example) and where did you take him/her?
We took our son our for the first time to the mall (he just turned 2 months old) and it wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be as he is a very fussy baby. He just doesn’t like being in his stroller so he cried and we had to pick him up and walk around with him, while all the other kids slept in their strollers like shareef bachay lol. Is there anyway to get him to stay in his stroller? He falls asleep in the car but he’s wide awake as soon as it stops. I tried giving him a pacifier but he usually just spits it out.
Re: When did you take your baby out for the first time
with my first one it was 2-3 months later. but then my mum was there so i could leave him with her. with 2nd and 3rd it was just 2 or 3 weeks after. mainly because of being abroad there was noone else to help and we had to take the older kids out and about too.
just pick him for a bit to soothe him and then put him back in the stroller. leave him there for a while before picking him again. he'll get used to it slowly. rattles/musical toys help.
Re: When did you take your baby out for the first time
2 weeks for his welcoming home party.
my son is the same.. he HATED his buggy with a passion.. he was jus way too curuios a child and prefered hanging from a baby sling.. he even used to sleep in it..
we tried every trick in teh book but nothing worked... no amount of let him cry it out helped.. what DID was.. upgrading to a stroller.. he still doesnt like it when the stroller stops (like when we are shopping)... but can sleep in one if say.. we are going for a stroll.. yes.. badmash like that.
oh therefore he also hates his carseat and highchair..
