it wasnt 1989.... but 1988.... I was three years old.... but I remember my parents saying shukar.... not coz he died... but coz a prophecy was fulfilled suggested by our then Head of community Hazrat Mirza Tahir Ahmad (RA).
Allah naye uss ka naam-o-nishan mita diya..... aur aaj duniya uss ko sirf zilat aur roswai ki tarha yaad karti hai.... especially coz uss naye Allah keh kamoon main haath dala!!

What we have now is much worse govt but what our country is suffering at the moment has a lot to do with what he started. Overall I think he still is the worst ruler we have had.

LoL. I remember when we went to visit Faisal Masjid Islamabad and while visiting the mosque our uncle pointed towards grave of Zia ul Haq and asked to offer fateha and we all children said 'big no'. Then our uncle made us to do that by saying 'Marre hue se kia jaghda'.

There could be many reasons but the last voice recorded was very important.
Mashhood Bhai, Mashhood Bhai ! Kia kar rahay ho.
It totally rejects the idea of a blast.
There is another theory that some missile/rocket hit the plane.
But no independent evidence was found.
Local villagers near Kamalpur say that they saw the plane was going up and down.
Dagmga raha tha.
There was a concept also that the pilot did this but never discussed openly.
There is also a technical reason quoted that the it was a mistake of pilot who didn't gave full throttle before taking up and air was thin.
That was also a reason for a PIA Fokker plane some years ago which crashed due to being overweight due to illegal loading of mangoes and thin air.

Legend says that there was no one in the coffin of Zia-ul-Haq because he was burnt in midair, perhaps only military people found his jaw from the desert, recognizing as his because he used to show on TV, rest of his coffin was filled with rocks.:)

Legend says that there was no one in the coffin of Zia-ul-Haq, perhaps only his jaw (he always used to show on TV) they found rest were stones filled in coffin.:)
I heard that there was pocket size 'Surah Yaseen' in his pocket, which remained intact after crash.

Are'nt Pak1 and Pak2 were C-31, they can glide like a glider, even their engine fails.

It could be possible to do some gliding after reaching the sufficient height and a complete take off. Plane could not reach to that stage.
I just saw a great scene at Tv.
Today was the 'Barsi' of Zia.
There were only a few children brought from any 'Yateem Khanah' or 'Madrissah'
Many years after him there were thousands including N$ and Ejaz ul Haq.
Today nobody was there.
