how long did it take you ?
Honest replies.
You know we are Pakistanis, more you say “I don’t love him/her” more respect you get.
So no need to make up stories.
Only truth please.

Re: when did you fall in love with your spouse.
Met him when I was 18. He laughed at my jokes, which no one had ever done. He looked me in the eyes when he talked. He had a really bad sense of fashion. I loved the way he spoke. He grew on me and I fell for him HARD. Years later, we are married and have seen the good and bad. He is an a$$hole sometimes but I am a complete b!t@c myself so not going to lie that it is my fault most of the time. I guess that is marriage. :p. O I still love him…
Re: when did you fall in love with your spouse.
That’s what matters that the love and caring is still there. You’re lucky Theorist and mashallah, it’s a cute story.
Re: when did you fall in love with your spouse.
until the day of marriage.
Re: when did you fall in love with your spouse.
I don’t know. I don’t understand love. Is it to do with being attracted to a person’s looks and attributes or is it the point when you start to have selfless feelings towards that person and you’re ready to sacrifice for that person?
Re: when did you fall in love with your spouse.
I think love is when you’re ready to put them before anything else…make them a priority.
For me, it was after marriage.
Re: when did you fall in love with your spouse.

The first time I spoke to him ![]()
Re: when did you fall in love with your spouse.
That’s… That’s beautiful. No lie, that’s a cute story, thanks for sharing Theorist.
Re: when did you fall in love with your spouse.
no so fast…
how long after marriage ?
Re: when did you fall in love with your spouse.
Maybe about 6 months into it.
This is NOT to say that life is beautiful after 6 months of marriage. No, its not. You still have issues and problems because you’re combining two different people and their existence into a marriage.
But 6 months into it I think I felt like I had a teammate…we’re both on the same side and have shared goals.
Re: when did you fall in love with your spouse.
Mine was love at first sight on both sides of this love equation.
Re: when did you fall in love with your spouse.
OK.
Re: when did you fall in love with your spouse.
This my friends..how i define love too. When you make a person care about a priority then love happens..
Re: when did you fall in love with your spouse.
Before marriage I liked him. After marriage fell in love. We had a difficult first year of marriage with miscarriages and alhumdulillah he really stuck by me. Really supported me emotionally. Stuck up for me even when there were others blaming me. You really find out what people are like when you go through the rough patches with them. Neither of us are perfect but alhumdulillah we are definitely perfect for each other. Still have ups and downs but now it feels like we’ve been through the worst we can handle anything together.
Re: when did you fall in love with your spouse.
Quite quickly because there was a lot of intensity. He was a random I came across by chance but I knew he was the one ![]()
When she made me a sammich without me asking ![]()
Re: when did you fall in love with your spouse.
Do you ever eat gol roti slims prah?
Re: when did you fall in love with your spouse.
Love is not a switch that can be flipped ON or OFF. Its not 0 or 1.
Its a continuous process that builds on overtime, grow, changes its shape, state and gets stronger day by day starting from being “fond of” or “attachment with” someone and ending at being totally ulla ka patha kisi k leyeee. Process ends where you put that person before yourself (not necessarily before everything else)

PS: Bollywood movies are exception to this logic. There falling in love is allowed faster than a free falling jump…
Re: when did you fall in love with your spouse.
I can’t pinpoint it.
It started right after we got married and he led me in performing nafil and said he’d saved up holidays so we could do umrah in 2 months. These were two things I absolutely craved in my husband. It was a good start and it just getting better Alhumdulillah. Sure we’ve had bad days too but who doesn’t?
And like other posters have said, it’s about constantly thinking of ways to please/ make our partners a priority that you know it’s love.
