Re: When did the state of Palestine exist before the Jews took over their country?
And because your prophet had dozens of slaves you somehow are exempt from the horrrors and human indgnation that is slavery? Because it is allowed by Allah in your texts you are somehow superior to other slave-owning, sex-pleasing traders of human flesh? Sorry, but it's kind of hard claiming the moral high ground when we are talking about centuries of trading humans for the pleasure of the self proclaimed righteous and victorious.
Are you actually serious, or have you totally lost it?
Hadrat Bilal (r.a.) was a black slave owned by a pagan arab. When he refused to denounce Islam after accepting it, he was beaten and lashed in public. When Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) and other wealthy muslims like Abu Bakr found out, they paid a heavy price to free him. He was not a slave again eventhough he was "bought" per se. He was free to practice Islam and live however he wanted. He is just one such example. There are other names too.
So please spare the cock n bull stories when you wanna cast doubts on the righteous doings of Prophet and his companions.
So arabs did slave-trade, sure they did! Just like Prophet Joseph/Yusuf was picked up from the well and sold in a marketplace in Egypt for some coins.
Islam however declared Slavery as unlawful. Until the introduction of Islam, slave-trade was quite a profitable business for the arab pagans of the day.
Now you wanna talk about other muslims that did Slave-Trade, then they clearly violated the religion by doing so because Islam prohibited it.
Hint: Just cuz someone has an arabic name, does not necessarily make him/her a muslim.
