DId it have a president or prime minister type of goverment?
Re: When did the state of Palestine exist before the Jews took over their country?
That is not the issue.
Palestine was never going to be an independent country.
If Israel never existed, then Palestine would have been a province of Jordan.
But that is Arabs fault.
And that is besides the point.
Palestine needs its own state, Israel cannot continue to occupy its lands forever and oppress its people.
Re: When did the state of Palestine exist before the Jews took over their country?
Well , we know Palestine was never going to be its own state before Israel created in 1948. Now , when Palestine gets a state of its own next to Israel they should drop on their knees and thank Allah for the creation of Israel otherwise the issue would never have been brought up if Israel was not victorious in 1967. Up until that time the issue was a mere blip .

Re: When did the state of Palestine exist before the Jews took over their country?
Africa, the land where the whites learned to use a soap from. Yes, where they learned how to be civilized from.
Africa was more civilized than the brutal colonizers that occupied it.
So I dunno where you're getting your history lessons from.

Guys if want to point fingers back in history we might as well take it all the way back to Adam and Eve.
To me the modern history of that region starts from the when they were under the rule of the British and French. They were victors and they distributed the land as they pleased. Now whether they were sensitive to the demographics of the area is very well known, which has resulted in this whole situation. Israeli and Palestinian states were created under the same mandate and similar to how the other Arab countries were carved out as well. The jewish people accepted what they were offered and the Arabs did not. Actually what the Arabs objected to was not the land offers but the presence of Jewish in their midst. And the fact is that Jewish immigration was undertaken to boost their population.
What needs addressed is that the Palestinian state gets created on what was rightfully theirs and the atrocities are stopped. If Israel only understands one language then it should be communicated in it. Israeli’s are no longer victims anymore relative to the Palestinians.

Arabs also colonized and enslaved a large number of Africans
Re: When did the state of Palestine exist before the Jews took over their country?
Arabs also colonized and enslaved a large number of Africans
Like whom?
Re: When did the state of Palestine exist before the Jews took over their country?
C'mon, it is common knowledge that Arabs were BY FAR the largest slave traders in the history of Africa. They have been involved in the slave trade for 1400 years, whereas the Atlantic slave trade lasted for 3 centuries.

SRRY…I Don’t beleive in Adam and Eve, Let stick with the theory of evolution !
Re: When did the state of Palestine exist before the Jews took over their country?
When did a state called India exist historically? Or a nation called the United States of America?
The existence of a historical country is not a prerequisite for self-determination.
At the end of World War 2, only one of the old League of Nations mandates of the former Ottoman Empire was not placed under the rule of the majority of the population.

What you are referring to isn't the "slave trade" it was the migration of south africans to help in irrigation of the fertile crescent.
They were treated unjustly, and within couple DECADES they held a revolt, and the caliph let them go, and governors were punished for their oppressive ways.
Again, please get your history right, especially about Islam.

You do know that Saudi Arabia ended slavery in 1959
Re: When did the state of Palestine exist before the Jews took over their country?
Are you in denial or really that uneducated about history and Islam? Here, be uneducated no more:
The Arab slave trade was the practice of slavery in West Asia, North Africa, East Africa, and certain parts of Europe (such as Sicily and Iberia) during their period of domination by Arab leaders. The trade mostly involved North and East Africans and Middle Eastern peoples (Arabs, Berbers, Persians, etc.). Also, the Arab slave trade was not limited to people of certain color, ethnicity, or religion. In the early days of the Islamic state—during the 8th and 9th centuries—most of the slaves were Slavic Eastern Europeans (called Saqaliba), people from surrounding Mediterranean areas, Persians, Turks, other neighbouring Middle Eastern peoples, peoples from the Caucasus Mountain regions (such as Georgia and Armenia) and parts of Central Asia (including Mamluks), Berbers, and various other peoples of varied origins as well as those of Black African origins. Later, toward the 18th and 19th centuries, slaves increasingly came from East Africa.
Some historians estimate that between 11 and 18 million black African slaves crossed the Red Sea, Indian Ocean, and Sahara Desert from 650 CE to 1900 CE, or more than the 9.4 to 14 million Africans brought to the Americas in the Atlantic slave trade…
The Ottoman wars in Europe and Tatar raids brought large numbers of Christian slaves into the Islamic world too. The ‘Oriental’ or ‘Arab’ slave trade is sometimes called the ‘Islamic’ slave trade, but a religious imperative was not the driver of the slavery, Patrick Manning, a professor of World History, states. However, since if a non-Muslim population refuses to adopt Islam or pay the Jizzya protection/ subjugation tax, that population is considered to be at war with the Muslim “ummah” and therefore it becomes legal under Islamic law to take slaves from that non-Muslim population…
Historians say the Arab slave trade began in the 7th century and lasted more than a millennium. Arab traders brought Africans across the Indian Ocean from present-day Kenya, Tanzania, Sudan, western Ethiopia and elsewhere in East Africa to present-day Iraq, Iran, Kuwait, Turkey and other parts of the Middle East [30] and South Asia (mainly Pakistan and India). Unlike the trans-Atlantic slave trade to the New World, Arabs supplied African slaves to the Muslim world…
Elikia M’bokolo, April 1998, Le Monde diplomatique. Quote: “The African continent was bled of its human resources via all possible routes. Across the Sahara, through the Red Sea, from the Indian Ocean ports and across the Atlantic. At least ten centuries of slavery for the benefit of the Muslim countries (from the ninth to the nineteenth).” He continues: "Four million slaves exported via the Red Sea, another four million through the Swahili ports of the Indian Ocean, perhaps as many as nine million along the trans-Saharan caravan route, and eleven to twenty million (depending on the author) across the Atlantic Ocean…
The Arab slave trade from East Africa is one of the oldest slave trades, predating the European transatlantic slave trade by hundreds of years.
Male slaves who were often made eunuchs were employed as servants, soldiers, or laborers by their owners, while female slaves, mostly from Africa, were long traded to the Middle Eastern countries and kingdoms by Arab and Oriental traders, some as concubines and others as servants. Arab, African, and Oriental traders were involved in the capture and transport of slaves northward across the Sahara desert and the Indian Ocean region into the Middle East, Persia, and the Indian subcontinent.
Re: When did the state of Palestine exist before the Jews took over their country?
So according to your logic, all Arabs are Muslims?
Muslims themselves were part of this slave trade, we have documented evidence of Muslim Female berbers who were transported by Arabs of the west, in large numbers from Qaryawan and Northern Africa, and many other incidents.
