Isn’t there a condition that you can have only one of them at a time.

Well if you have CNIC than you obtained NICOP or vice-versa, the NADRA will update your information in MRP with latest ID. If u r living abroad and your CNIC is expired but NICOP is valid than there is no need to renew CNIC. You can renew only NICOP whenever its expired.

well, I have both and when I will visit Pakistan, I wouldnt really need to show my Pakistani Passport. CNIC would work for dual nationality holders.

CNIC is only for single nationality holder and don’t work for dual nationality holders. Only NICOP works. Although you can travel anywhere with Pakistan on your CNIC too.
