NICOP is for transactions with consulates abroad. In Mideast, most of the time your passport remains in the custody of your employer. So it helps.

Can’t they use the regular NIC for that. I’m sure Pakistani consulate employees can read Urdu.

NICOP helps dual nationals as well, as they dont need to maintain two passports. They can keep the foreign passport plus NICOP for visa free entry into Pakistan.

The Pakistani passport and NICOP cost almost the same and the passport has more utility than the NICOP card.

PS: Paisay banany ka eik aur tarika aur kuch nahi yeh NICOP.
