There is veracity in the argument. However lets not stereotype by saying this only plagues the Arab world. South asians are no exception to this. Generally muslims have been divided into so many factions its a mess now. Each one saying "Allah us ko hidayat de". This is what happens when only religious knowledge exists but no wisdom left to use that knowledge.
