Wheat/Glutin Allergy

Does any of you know anything about it …???

What causes it??
Is it curable or stays forever???

How a desi (specially like me) can survive without wheat …think of everything …from roti to haleem…n from samosas to cakes.

Any helpful links??
Or any info about this??

Thanx a lot Mahru!!!

Re: Wheat/Glutin Allergy

Wagmans carries an entire line of products that is glutin free. You can get all the necessities from glutin-free bread to wheat for your roti and other ingredients desies use in daily cooking. One of my aunts in UK is allergic and gets to eat pretty much everything with a bit of fore-planning.

It might be harder to get the glutin-free stuff if you are in pakistan though.

Re: Wheat/Glutin Allergy

Im mildly untolerant (is that the word?) of wheat. I expand like a balloon and swell. When I say im like a beached whale, I mean it. Its difficult to find things - i just found that there are lots of vegs etc that can be ubstituted in in the stead of ur other wheat products, soya stuff is good.

Re: Wheat/Glutin Allergy

go to your local health food store and you'll find corn pasta products, cakes and different types of bread made from other types of flour ie ryebread, things made from millet, sorghum, rice potatoes can be part of the diet
