What's your strategy for special occasions?

When it comes to losing weight or maintaining your weight when it comes to avoiding the yummy chocolate cake or ice cream?

Re: What's your strategy for special occasions?

I take a small piece. I think a little indulgence once in a while is ok.

Wouldn't you crave more? Out of sight outta mind works for me. If it's in front of me I keep thinking about it and they usually put the extra cake in the fridge just in case someone at work wants more the rest of the week just to finish it off. I would crave more. I don't keep ice cream or cookies at home, all the junk food is out of my kitchen. I never buy it because i know I would keep craving for it.

I thought you meant when going ti someone else's. I agree with you. Can't have anything fatty at home. I have been known to eat a whole cake in 3 days. I try to give the desserts to guests to take with themselves. Cz anything at home and I m compelled to eat it

Re: What’s your strategy for special occasions?

Oh believe me if I have a chocolate cake or brownies, baklava, any heavenly treat…cheetos whatever delicious piece of junk food anywhere near me, I’ve known to convince myself that if I finish it all in one sitting it would somehow make it outta sight outta mind. It seems logical to me at the time. :bummer:

I’m just thinking what I can say to myself that would stop me from eating that delicious mouth watering piece of junk food which is so popular during the holidays.
