Same here, i didnt get to pick my own stuff, while it’s nice i wud never have chosen it, so now I DONT feel guilty…i figure it’s not my fault that whoever got the stuff has fugly/paindu taste. Plus at the time i thot i had lots of time to shop with my marzi.
But now if i can afford it (meaning w/o having to scrimp totally in other areas) then i wont feel guilty abt buying anything.
Btw, im obsessed with clothes rght now, im sure the responsible sensible mature adult/housewife in me will emerge in a few days and i will disagree w/ this

I have never been one to be really particular about what's "in" at a given time. So i dont hesitate to shop at the end of season sales. You can get some awesome deals that way. I recently bought some maternity wear at Carsons/Younkers/Herbergers, nice pieces i might add at 4.99 each because they were previous season and add on a 20% coupon, i got my maternity wardrobe for less than 50 bucks. And i am talking 3 pairs of nice pants, 2 dresses. I LOVE sales :) Unless i need something right away like shoes or a coat, i decide to wait for sales at good stores. Most of the stuff is sold at 50% off or more if you wait a couple of months.
Outlet malls are a good idea too but teh nearest one in my area is 1.5 hours away. So its not always feasible to go back and forth.

What about shoes? Anyone know a great place to get shoes? Or a trick to get them at good prices?
DSW has amazing shoes. All name brand and u can find nice pairs for under $40 !!!

You know what I wonder about? All the people who get all of these lovely new desi clothes all the time! I feel like I must be out of the loop.
I had a beautiful bari and a gorgeous jahez. And maybe because of that I feel very guilty buying new heavy clothes. I want to design me own stuff very badly (I didn't have a chance to select any of the stuff in the bari and jahez), but then I find out how much this stuff costs, and I just can't imagine it. Even on a Western income, it just feels like waaay too much.
So who are your secret sources for reasonable and gorgeous desi clothing?
I wish i were super duper rich, i'd buy everyone i know at least one nice outfit for whatever occasion (b-day, etc). Everyone deserves the gift of fashion...:D

My sister bought a pair of heels from TJ Maxx for around 20 bucks. A couple of months later she saw the same exact shoes at DSW for twice the price :D

DSW is HOT...Ive got amazing NineWest slingbacks for $20 from there. Ive got Nina pumps for around $35 or so.

barri=the stuff u get from your husbands side on your wedding. fendi's nice!
shop at outlets, marshalls i get a lot of handbags from here especially totes for school, and to take to amusement parks and outings, they just get used a lot, but basically just sales and outlet malls thats where you get the best deals!

I also find some pretty good deals at the Rack...Nordstrom Rack...love that place for accessories. Watches, sunglasses, etc are cheap there!
