How many of you grew up listening to inumerable sayings from parents/family etc…? Do u guys believe in them…Which one is your most memorable?
I remember some…that stuck with me through the years…Some r in punjabi…I’ll translate them if necessary…

Chore ki darhi mein tinkaa....makes no logical sense watso ever
It makes perfect sense actually. This means that culprit will always have some signs to be identified as a culprit. The sign may be very tricky to find/see because it may be as tiny/small/unimportant/hidden as a "tinka." The thief ("chore") and daRhi are only used as as metaphores in this expression.
