Disappointed with the current batting crop, I was looking at 2006 under-19 world cup which Pakistan won to see if there were any emerging stars.
Amazingly, despite having won the tournament, there is not a single Pakistani in top 30 runs scorers for the tournament!

That was truly “team effort” 
We are probably ‘bowling’ nation more than batting/fielding.

When our opening pair consists of Damad and sattay baaz, need we say more. Mediocre players thrust into international cricket. The result is for all to see.

well when sloggers become your heroes and they get the adulation that was once reserved only for real superstars and legends like Wasim, Waqar, Saeed, etc... then expect that most kids will also want to become sloggers and not proper batsmen with some semblance of technique, temperament etc.
