I understand both are bad but which is worst?

actually i think this can't be compared to the chai parade thing. people unnecessarily get over sensitive for chai parade although what other suitable process is there in a purely arranged marriage set up where two families don't even know each other directly.
and its not even that when guy and his family come over to the girls place to meet her they are the only ones judging because the girl and her family are also judging the opposite party but i don't see many guys becoming over sensitive to the situation.

^An alternative could be the girl sitting there with her family engaging in conversation as normal people do rather than just being wheeled in to serve tea so she can be 'viewed' for 5 or 10 mins..
In most situations there's a wait for an answer from his family rather than hers so I don't agree that the guy is being 'judged' as much as the girl..
Bk to the OP's question tho I think the 2nd is worse..
