Re: What's with the Juma Mubarak?

What happened on Jummay ka din was the chummay ka wada, and that is a very sacred event in the history of the world.

I think we can all agree that we put on a red dress and jumped along to that one.

Re: What's with the Juma Mubarak?

jumma is like eid for some people.

whyyyy

if holier than thou muslims can argue that everyday of the year should be about giving thanks, loving our mothers, and our husbands, then every day of the week should be holy and religious.

lalala.

Re: What’s with the Juma Mubarak?

It’s all part of Rebecca Black’s secret plan to take over the world :bummer:

Re: What's with the Juma Mubarak?

O ye who believe! When the call is proclaimed to prayer on Friday (the Day of Assembly), hasten earnestly to the Remembrance of Allah, and leave off business (and traffic): That is best for you if ye but knew!
And when the Prayer is finished, then may ye disperse through the land, and seek of the Bounty of Allah: and celebrate the Praises of Allah often (and without stint): that ye may prosper.
—Qur'an, sura 62 (Al-Jumua), ayat 9-10

Re: What's with the Juma Mubarak?

I still say it's Rebecca Black

Re: What's with the Juma Mubarak?

I think it's quite nice; the Muslim greeting on our holy day of the week.... kinda like how the jews greet each other with 'shabbat shalom' on their sabbath..

Re: What’s with the Juma Mubarak?

I started noticing all the “Juma Mubaraks” about the same time “Walahi!” & “Jazak Allah…” became en vouge…

Never heard any of these phrases used in every day language circa 2001

Re: What’s with the Juma Mubarak?

Happy Friday :e6:.
